003: Concrete Happy Hour x Elm City Social (Official Brand Launch)
Concrete Boardroom partnered with New Haven’s own, Elm City Social; a special location that was named one of the Best New Restaurants by Connecticut Magazine to bring our first Concrete Happy Hour to life! This wasn’t just any event, this was to announce our official launch as a brand to the public eye. We are hoping to continue to curate an experience and build a foundation that can amplify the winning spirit. Whether through garments, style, drinks, and good eats. We hope to share our collective tastes, and for us all to expand our pallets together on this journey with our Concrete Happy Hour Events.
In addition to celebrating our official launch as a brand, we exclusively released our Sumpa Kita Collection (which will be available online soon).
The Sumpa Kita Collection is inspired by the Philippine National Flower, the Sampaguita. "Sumpa Kita" is Tagalog for "I Promise," which is where the name Sampaguita is derived. The flower symbolizes purity, fidelity, dedication, and hope. One of the most enduring legends is that it grew on the grave of a lover who was waiting for their love to fulfill a promise.
This collection is meant to inspire and give hope to those who are on a journey to pursue a promise to themselves, to never give up. The flower grows in batches, which means it has a strong support system with vines that connect to each other as they bloom and grow. In translation, we are stronger in numbers, and we can all embody the true Winning Spirit while supporting and working together. We call this the Concrete Boardroom.
A BIG THANK YOU to everyone for coming out and supporting us on this new venture and we hope to build a positive presence in the community! Thank you!
